It’s quite astonishing. I have waited until today to examine it in detail with John. What gave me the greatest gratification was to watch his reaction. He is utterly stunned by it. There have been many books on Queens’ over the centuries, some rather special, but none approaches yours. You are quite the most brilliant, creative and thoughtful photographic artist I’ve ever come across. And the fact that you have a personal history with Queens’ is at the centre of the genius of the collection.

I am trying to work out how many discreet visits and how many hours you’ve devoted to this best of farewell gifts we could have dreamed of. This way we can savour the full privilege of our years here.

STUNNING ACHIEVEMENT

Andrew did a great job. Despite not having much experience of Pilates or Craniosacral Therapy he was able to quickly pick up the essence of my work and capture it beautifully, both during the serenity of the Cranial work and during the chaos of a group Pilates class. I am also really pleased with the pictures of the studio. After a rigorous de-clutter he choreographed pictures of small rooms full of equipment, showcasing their spacious airy feel. And the most amazing part he managed to cajole a pleasant expression from me for my mug shot – a stunning achievement.

CAPTURED THE ATMOSPHERE

Thanks so much for the excellent pictures you took of the rehearsals for How Like An Angel in Gloucester, the show that brought together the vocal group I Fagiolini and the Australian contemporary circus company, Circa. You really captured the atmosphere of that day – the acrobats warming up, the singers rehearsing, and in particular the beautiful architecture of the cathedral. We plan to use the images to publicise the show in the future, but for now they remain a lovely memory of that excellent day, and of the tour itself.

ABSOLUTELY DELIGHTED

I would recommend Andrew wholeheartedly. In most circumstances I dread being photographed, but right from our initial discussion Andrew created a team spirit and made me believe that we would be able to get good results. As a musician himself he understood immediately (probably better than I did) the kind of thing I needed and when it came to the photoshoot he was endlessly patient and full of ideas – both planned and improvised creatively in response to the surroundings. He has a great eye for composition. The entire experience of working with Andrew has been such a pleasure, and I’m absolutely delighted with the results. He would be my first choice for any future photographic projects.

We needed a commercial photographer with an eye for detail and the ability to make quite a dull business come alive. In just two days of picture taking from all perspectives Andrew Wilkinson has done exactly that. The quality of the shots is excellent and through the magic of his lens, brought movement and interest to our business – not an easy task in a warehouse! We also needed some of the pictures edited and sent over to a tight deadline and Andrew pulled out the stops to get them to us ahead of time. We’d certainly use Andrew again and recommend him to others.
