This was an interesting shoot for a campaign by the British Parking Association for their Park Mark campaign. The idea was to promote those working behind the scenes (who generally go unnoticed) by camouflaging them into the backgrounds of where they work and operate - including the cleaner, and the car thief! Using car parks in Cambridge, Nottingham, and at the National Grid HQ, an internationally renowned camouflage artist and her assistant got to work using a live, fixed point of view image from one of my cameras, transmitted to my iPad. Meanwhile, I documented the process. Ads also appeared on buses in Manchester and Nottingham. #andrewwilkinsonphotography #parking #commercialphotographer #camouflage #camouflagepainter

One person’s distractions are another person’s One person’s distractions are another person’s attractions. For me, these wires (Phuket, Thailand) viewed close-up make a wonderfully fascinating abstract attraction - they are a visual metaphor for the connectivity, busyness and constant noise of everyday life. When viewed from further away (sorry, no pic, but I’m sure you can imagine) they quite quickly, for me at least, become an awful distraction in the otherwise more beautiful wider context of the scene. A few photos from the most magical of surprise engagement proposals* that went absolutely as planned. The couple want to keep the images private, but are happy that I share these.
